Emma is a passionate guide for creative souls, weaving music, movement, mindfulness, and self-expression into powerful spaces for healing and connection. After years in primary education, she followed her heart’s nudge toward something deeper—creating safe, inspiring experiences where people can reconnect with themselves and each other.  A lifelong musician and performer, Emma brings her voice and keyboard to life on stage with local bands, while behind the scenes she’s nurturing emotional wellbeing through the arts. Her sessions are a rich tapestry of sound healing, meditation, visual arts, storytelling, and movement—always grounded in presence and play.  With a background in dance, drama, yoga (and countless experiences in workshops, circles and ceremonies), Emma is also a mentor for students training in the Holistic Integrated Creative Arts Therapy Diploma. Her energy is warm, authentic, and endlessly curious—she’s as likely to be holding space in ceremony as she is walking her cheeky Jack Russell, Bandit, through the lush landscapes of Noosa.  Whether you're drawn in by the beat of a drum, the brush of a paintstroke, or the silence between breaths, Emma’s work invites you home to yourself.

Holistic Creative Arts Therapy (HICAT) is a gentle, empowering approach to emotional wellbeing that combines creativity and holistic counselling.

Using a mix of modalities—including meditation, movement, painting, drawing, drama, sculpting, sandplay, sound healing, journalling, collaging and creative writing -  HICAT invites participants to engage in creative processes that support healing and self-discovery.

Holistic counselling looks at all areas of life that impact wellbeing, recognising the interconnectedness of mind, body and spirit. It's about the process, not the product—creating with intention to uncover insights, release emotional blocks, and reconnect with your intuition.

Ideal for those feeling stuck, stressed or creatively blocked, HICAT offers space to heal, reflect, and move forward with clarity, optimism and self-awareness.

"I recently had the opportunity to attend an art therapy session with Emma, and it was truly a powerful and liberating experience. From the moment  we began our session, Emma created a warm and inviting atmosphere, making it easy to relax and express myself through creativity and movement.

The session went beyond traditional art-making—it was a full-body experience that tapped into deep emotions and inner strength. One of the most powerful parts of the session was the drumming and shaking exercises. As Emma guided me through rhythmic drumming, I could feel vibrations resonating through my body, grounding me in the present moment. The combination of shaking and primal stomping allowed me to release tension and pent-up emotions in a way that felt natural and cathartic. There was a raw, instinctive energy in these movements that helped me reconnect with a sense of power and freedom that I hadn’t felt in a long time.

When we transitioned into the art-making portion, in which I chose painting, I felt a deep sense of flow and openness. Emma’s encouragement to explore colour,  texture, and free movement on the canvas made the creative process feel intuitive rather than forced. I wasn’t just painting—I was channeling my emotions onto the page, translating my inner world into something tangible. Her insights and gentle guidance helped me find meaning in the process, making it both therapeutic and enlightening.

What stood out the most about Emma’s approach was her ability to create a safe and judgment-free space where I could fully let go. Whether through movement, sound, or visual expression, she helped me access and release emotions in a way that felt both healing and empowering.

By the end of the session, I felt lighter, stronger, and more connected to myself. If you’re looking for a unique and transformative way to explore your emotions, art therapy with Emma is an experience that I can highly recommend. "

"Emma has such a lovely way about her—she’s friendly, approachable, and completely down-to-earth. She’s not one of those “hippy-dippy ultra” types, yet I still had a deeply spiritual experience during my sound healing session with her.

I felt more relaxed than I have in a very long time. I loved the background music she chose, and the range of sound healing tools she used was incredible. Emma worked so intuitively, knowing just where to focus. I’ve been having trouble with one of my hips that’s been keeping me awake at night, and when she concentrated her healing tools over it, I could actually feel a buzzing sensation—like the vibrations were working their magic.

After the session, I felt calm, serene, and had the best night’s sleep in ages—I didn’t wake once from hip pain. Even better, the next day my hip felt remarkably improved.

I’ll definitely be going back to Emma for another session!"

"My art therapy session with Emma supported me through the grief of losing a baby I desperately wanted at 22 weeks into my pregnancy. Emma created a beautiful, tailor-made meditation that allowed me to connect with my baby’s soul and express all my feelings of love and hope through colours, shapes, and imagery.

The meditation was incredibly moving—it brought me to a place of peace with my loss and gave me space to begin healing. When we moved to the canvas, I knew exactly what I wanted to paint to honour and commemorate my baby. That artwork has become a treasured keepsake, filled with deep meaning and emotion.

Emma held the space with such compassion. I felt seen, heard, and safe to release what I needed to. That session was a turning point—it allowed me to begin looking forward again. I can’t thank Emma enough for helping me through such a dark time and gently guiding me back toward the light. "
